Hello Diamondbacks
I am starting my 32nd year in education, and all of those years have been at the junior high level. With over 20 years in English Language Arts and now focusing on instruction and assessment, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to helping students succeed. Organizing and assisting with assessments at various levels is crucial for ensuring that students are well-prepared for the future, so our goal at SNJH is to provide our Diamondbacks with the necessary tools for high school and beyond.
On a personal note, both my children went to SNJH. My son, Brandon, graduated from SHS and Texas State, and my daughter, Brooke, graduated from PHS, Baylor, and the University of Texas-Dallas.
In order to combine my two passions, I am also involved in a non-profit organization that advocates for the humane treatment of ALL animals. Research shows integrating animal behavior, pet care, and empathy towards animals into school curriculums could have multiple benefits. It would not only foster a deeper understanding of and respect for animals but could also teach valuable life skills such as responsibility, compassion, and problem-solving. This is currently a work in progress.
I am looking forward to an amazing school year where Excellence has always been our Tradition. Welcome to North.
