Hello Diamondback Family! My name is Monica McIver and I am so excited and honored to be your school counselor. I am a proud Sharyland graduate and I have over 15 years of experience in education all in Sharyland ISD. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English from UTRGV and I earned my Master’s of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University.
As your school counselor, I will help assist you with any academic, social and emotional needs. I am here to support and be an advocate for you. I look forward to working with you these next two years. Keep in mind that whatever challenges come your way, we will work together to overcome them and be successful.
